I purchased this window AC to replace or old air conditioner. After having purchased a LG refrigerator- I knew our new window AC would be LG also. Its quiet and works well in our small home. The energy saving feature is my favorite setting. I cannot wait to see how the new AC impacts our electric bill. We saw a significant decrease after we bought our fridge. I bought this unit about 3 weeks ago and I love it It really puts out like I did on prom night. It replaced our hvac and it cools about 1200 square feet which is equivalent to a normal size living room hallway and a large bedroom. We keep it on 73 because it gets too cold when were in the same room with it. It can be turned on through the app which is very convenient. We turn in the ceiling fan to help circulate the air. Great purchase

Old unit different manufacturer was extremely loud so I bought this based upon decibel rating plus the heat capability and it was the same size as the old unit making installation easy. WIFI STOPPED WORKING AFTER A YEAR

I bought the LW1221HRSM the LW8021HRSM in July of 2021. They were purchased because they had WiFi and I could turn them on remotely when the temperatures were below freezing. They would sometimes lose their connection but I was always able to reconnect them. In November 2022 they lost WiFi before a severe cold front making them basically useless. They will not connect because the network connection is unstable. LG has admitted that they are having issues with the LGEwhisen network but they dont have any solutions. I am furious that I wasted money buying these and they only served their purpose for just over a year. I have several other LG products and have always been satisfied but these are making me rethink any LG product

Ac compressor will not turn off

The ac blow ice cold and the heater doesnt blow hot after inspection I noticed the ac compressor is not turning off when the heat is on and its staying on even after you turn the unit off. Only way to get the ac compressor to turn off is to cut off the power to it by either unplugging it or tripping the button on the plug. LW8021HRSM This is my model number. The unit is clean and not stopped up.

I just bought the third unit like this from LG. All have been great. An excellent value and a compact size. The first one that I bought lasted about 6 - 7 years until debris punctured the coolant line. Was still running fine prior to incident. I decided to go ahead and replace. I did not hesitate to buy the same model. I had that one in my art studio which is 300 sf with a 10 foot ceiling. No matter how hot or cold it got I was comfortable.

A few weeks ago my HVAC unit went down hard. With supply side issues being what they are it was difficult to find the motherboard and motor to get it back up again. This occurred this past August when daily temperatures where I live in Florida were averaging 95F every day. I went out and bought this window AC unit for my bedroom and it literally and figuratively saved me from heat exhaustion. It took 8 days for my AC service to find the parts so the purchase of the unit was money well spent. As a plus factor I can subsequently use it with my home generator during the next inevitable hurricane hit in my area

My husband installed the unit but he had to uninstall the guts of the unit just to get to the two clips for the right and left curtains. Maybe they could have been installed at the factory It was also very difficult to get the correct department to get help with setting up the Wifi.
