This refrigerator has had issues shortly after 12months from purchase. The door gasket has had to be replaced 3times, the temperature sensor had to be repaired and the ice maker does not work properly. We have had several repair companies out to repair this refrigerator since about 13months after purchase and there have been issues ever since from a brand new purchase. Now the temperature sensor is not working again and the ice maker still does not work properly. I have finally called Electrolux directly to repair this issue and they continue to cancel the appointments without any information. we have tried to pay prior for parts over the phone and they cannot accept prepayment over the phone. No one has been able to explain why a brand new refrigerator has required so many repairs and why Electrolux provides such poor customer service. They charge you over a hundred dollars for someone to drive out to the home and then they demand payment on the spot to fix the appliance without explaining what parts need replacing or what the issue is.

We've had this for 2 years and are now looking for a replacement. The interiors of both the refrigerator and freezer could be better designed to make the space more usable. The ice maker sometimes works, sometimes doesn't and sometimes won't stop until we turn it off.The drawers cannot be removed, and therefore can't be cleaned very well. The instructions in the owner's manual on how to remove the drawers don't look like the drawers in our refrigerator. We gave up for fear of breaking the plastic tabs. One of the drawers has never been able to open more than 4-5 inches. The refrigerator is very noisy and creates a whole suite of sounds we've never heard in another refrigerator, including some that are fairly loud.Through it all, it does refrigerate and freeze, so I did not give it a '1'.

I bought this beautiful refridgerator about a month ago, the refridgerator is beautiful and I love the layout inside. With that said, almost immediately after delivery, a humming noise started randomly. I am finally at my wits end and decided to call Electrolux customer service to find out this annoying humming noice is a side effect of this refrigerator, unfortunately for me nothing can be done. Just sad that this annoying humming noise is not listed in the description, I guess no one would buy it this truth is known! Disappointed with Electrolux! Do NOT buy this refrigerator!

This refrigerator is awful. The space is poorly designed and the quality is even worse. After YEARS of having issues with the original one we were finally ™granted™ a replacement. I honestly don™™t know if that is a good or bad thing. get the extended warranty!!!!!!! I can™™t even remember how many times someone has come out to fix this model for us

We did all Electrolux in our new kitchen, and I love the overall look. The refrigerator & freezer have plenty of room to accommodate our family needs. I do wish the handle matched that on the 36" Dual Fuel Range we purchased, but otherwise we are satisfied. The freezer door was dented when received, but Electrolux was quick to schedule service and get the part ordered to replace it.

The Frig is Possessed!

We bought the Frig a little over a year ago at the 6 month mark it started releasing water and ice whenever it wanted...unloading the whole containers worth of ice came crashing down and then water! That happened 3 times before a service guy could get out to "FIX" it! then 3 months later it did it again...this time I was able to reset it and it worked for another 3 more months. At this point it just did Ice and I called for service again and they sent someone else out who replaced another computer board. Its worked for a month and today it dispensed probably 5-10 gallons of water at 4 different times between 5 and 7:30AM and I turned off the water to the frig and dried everything up called customer service who denied replacement because our frig is out of warranty! (by one month) but the customer service with electrolux said they will still send someone out to look at it and fix. So unless you want to redo the floors in your kitchen and have a service coming to your house every other month this is NOT the frig of choice.

We bought this model of this fridge in March 2009. Over 7 years later and this thing (after a good cleaning) still looks and functions perfectly. Our ice make DID break one year after buying it, hence why I'm docking off a star. Other than that, this fridge is still sleek, still modern, and worth a buy. Our previous fridge lasted 27 years (and we only replaced that because it looked hideous), so here's hoping this fridge outlasts that one.

I bought this fridge a little less than a year ago and overall it has been a good and reliable. The only problem I have had is that the water and ice dispenser on the front quit working and I was told by the repair man that you couldn't store anything in front of the air vent on the top shelf and that if you don't use much ice, you should dump the ice bin regularly. I feel that like somewhat of a design flaw as it is located in a place where you would store items. The only other thing that I have encountered that is bothersome is that the freezer is not large enough for a large frozen pizza the way it is configured. Luckily I don't eat many of them so it's not a big deal for me but may be for others.

This Refrigerator is fine. I wanted to start out that way because of all the negative reviews I found on this model. I don't doubt people who posted had problems but 2 years ago? Designs change and happy people usually don't write reviews. I've very happy with my purchase of this appliance and to be known I'm a perfectionist, someone who is hard to make happy. The only issue I've had is with a door hinge "clicking" when opening closing. I sprayed a little cooking oil on it and from use it has corrected itself. I would not hesitate to buy another Electrolux appliance.

We bought our refrigerator in 2008, model # EI23CS55GS1 .Ice maker stopped working soon afterwards . In spite of at least two visits for repair , could not be fixed and had to be shut off. Next came the plastic parts, especially the tracks for the bin , which broke. Final straw was the thermostat and interface panel- both stopped working . This is or should I say was an expensive refrigerator with scant attention to the quality of its most important parts and functions.This is the first review of its kind I am writing , so one can imagine mydisappointment with the product.Our previous refrigerator lasted over 20 years.

I recently purchased the Electrolux and it's "Awesome!" Aside from the crisper door needing repair the refrigerator is perfect. The convenience of the ice/water dispenser is like living in luxury, no need to hassle with ice cube trays, the shelves slide out and everything is easily accessible, "how genius," not to mention the controlled temperature within certain parts of the frig. It's perfection in the kitchen, absolute, awesome, perfection!

Happy with counterdepth side by side except the ice dispenser had to be replaced after 3 mos of use. There was a technician bulletin for the electronic control panel. Also there was an led light in the fridge that never worked since setup, only to find there is a short in that wiring the technician told us can't be fixed. Haven't spoke to Electrolux on this yet. I do really like the fridge, just wish the bugs were worked out. Early on, I did have opportunity to speak with associate from Electrolux, their customer service was excellant.

Well, I was in the market for a refrigerator that would work in my galley-style kitchen. After remodeling, I realized that the current fridge I had was too deep and stuck far out beyond the cabinets. After looking for several months at super expensive units that would fit in the space the way I wanted, and learning that there are multiple variations of "counter-depth" I found this refrigerator. It was an open-box unit, but not used. I loved the way it looked and the measurements were right so I scooped it up. After getting it home I was reading up on the model and saw a lot of complaints about the ice-maker. I was worried, and I felt it was somewhat my fault for not reading up on it before purchase, but I also thought "what are the odds?" Also, it seemed to be with units older than mine. Well, sure enough, ONE day after my return period from the store expired the ice maker stopped working!! Ugh. I tried all the trouble-shooting techniques to no avail, so I called someone out to service it (under warranty). They ended up replacing the unit and it's worked ever since. (About 3 months). Not only does the ice maker work, but it sometimes shoots out too much ice so you have to watch it! The water tastes great. The settings and space work exactly as I expected and it looks awesome in my kitchen! I was a bit intimidated by the many settings and controls, but so far, so good. So, I would recommend the unit to others looking for a decently-priced stylish and modern looking fridge--even with the ice issue I mentioned.

Our previous refrigerator had constant ice maker problems and the freezer drawer felt like it was never closed all the way and I felt like food got lost in there. With this frig we haven't had any problems. I can actually see what's in the freezer and we never run out of ice. Would like more bins on the door on the refrigerator side towards the bottom even if it meant that the drawers were cut back - otherwise it is designed wonderfully for a counter depth.

Many problems with cheap plastic clips that hold drawers onto sliding rails. Every time the drawer is closed the clip detaches and the drawer comes off the track. Very cumbersome to remove the drawers for cleaning. They took a simple design and over-complicated it and made frustrating to operate. Also..it is ridiculous that a 1/3 of the refrigerator door is dedicated to soda can storage. This unit has very little useable storage and to devote that much space to soda cans is outrageous. Use ice in your soda and give me some useable storage space. Who designed this thing?

I feel like the serviceman will be a regular visitor to my house. The fridge is attractive, but I have had multiple service calls to try to fix the icemaker. Also, one of the drawers repeatedly comes undone because of the cheap plastic clip that holds it to the sliding rail. The water dispenser tube is located too far forward so that using a narrow glass means you may have water missing the glass. Also, I have condensation dripping from the icemaker flap on warm days -causing a puddle on the drip tray.By the way, this is the third review I have written and have yet to see my previous ones posted.Fridge is made in Mexico; not USA as I was informed.
