Poor construction

First off it wasn't until I clean the vent where I found the air conditioner information and product registration card. Secondly he holes where the dials go are cut too close where the knob falls off when you turn it. Third the one vent that points Towards the bed Lowe's minimum airflow and cannot be adjusted

Performs acceptably, but…

This unit cools the RV travel trailer it is installed in acceptably. It does tend to quick cool, i.e. it lowers the room temperature to desired temperature very fast but it could perform better at humidity removal which is also equally important function of comfort when the outside weather is hot and humid. It would also be nice if the unit would have the option of being able to add a heating strip in the unit, however the RV dealership indicated that is not an option with this model.

This is a roof mounted unit with the controls on the unit. We have only had the Trailer for a couple of days and only really used it once, but It seems reasonably quiet and cooled the trailer fairly quickly. I can't report on durability yet, but it is a GE product so I am hopeful.

Great Performance - Needs "Easy Start" Option

The A/C does a great job of cooling our RV. An improvement would be to offer an "Easy Start" module option (built-in) to reduce starting current for (2) A/C's from 50-Amps to 30-Amps, which is much more common at RV parks.

Came with our Little Guy Mini Max RV. Cools off in a couple minutes. Great! Nice vent options. It IS quite loud in such a small space but we're getting used to it (and I'm quite sensitive to sound). Having trouble getting consistent performance with GE Thermostat that came with it. Setting at 83…sometimes has kept running too long and reaching much cooler temp even set on auto.

Thermostat Not working

When the unit works it works well for 2 hours then freezes up. seems the thermostat doesn't work unless at the coldest setting, the temps on the thermostat very coils , air coming out are way off. the unit is only a few months old. Can't seem to get ahold of any customer support or fine parts for this unit.

Came on my new Travel Trailer; I didn't even know GE made these kind of units. Need to find out if this has a low draw, "soft start" built in, or I need to add one to the unit to minimize portable generator draw on startup. Unfortunately, although it is a brand new unit, there isn't even any documentation for the A/C... not GEs fault, but probably the builder Left it out of the envelope??? Not sure how to get my question answered.

The a/c unit cools well. It is quiet on the outside as not to bother other RV or persons nearby. However, the unit inside even on low speed is tremendously noisy. To the point of not being able to carry on a conversation when the unit is running.

So loud!

This unit is so loud I can't have a normal conversation with the person sitting next to me. Seems in 2021 a quieter unit with a lower profile can be manufactured at a decent price. I didn't select this unit - it came pre-installed on purchase.
