Leaks a decent amount of water out of the bottom of the unit. Enough to damage your floors, but not enough to have the puddle extend beyond the edges of the unit, so it goes undiscovered until you move the unit.Also given the fact that it doesn't have an exterior air inlet to makeup for the air it blows out your house, it ends up sucking makeup air down your chimney (making your house smell like a fireplace), so you'll have to leave a window slightly cracked somewhere to prevent this. But also means that it sucks in almost as much humidity in to your house as it is removing, perhaps that is why it makes the puddle under the unit

Live in northeast and have only a few weeks that cooling is needed each year. This operated well for a short time until it was past its warranty br a few months. This was my third Frigidaire product to go bad in just two years. Concerned with product quality. Would probably go with a different manufacturer in the future.

We use our Frigidaire portable a/c unit in a wine storage shed. It works perfectly. We recently had outside temperatures of over 100° for a week and one day at 116°. I was able to monitor conditions in the shed remotely by wifi and was able to adjust the thermostat as necessary. It worked perfectly.

The unit started to leak water from the bottom about a month after I bought it. I have to keep the hose in ar all times and it still leaks at the bottom. I applied for a replacement unit in August since it is brandnew. I have not heard a response since then. Every time I call the customer service line they tell me something different. My floors have now been damaged by water leaking from the bottom of the unit.

This AC unit is more than I expected. The features are great. The swing door (vent) is very large and it moves a lot of air. Easy to set up. Wheels make it easy to move. Cools my room quickly. Again, this is a very quiet unit. I like it when it hits the set temp the fan runs very low, when the room temp gets higher than set, it starts back up.

Decent app features that you mostly forget about after you've gotten it home, running, and in place. It's big, it's heavy, it draws a LOT of power, and it does the job.Here's why it's not 4 stars: there's no way to turn off the beeping or the lights. Got the thing in a bedroom? You can't turn off the glow. You're stuck with not just the noise of the AC, but any noise the unit makes when it hits a certain temperature or makes a change. I'm honestly baffled it doesn't have a way to shut these things off, but there you have it. If the feature exists, it's so well buried I can't find it.I will also say that one of these that I received was malfunctioning out of the box, but Frigidaire's customer service was excellent and got me a replacement very quickly. No complaints.

Held off for years purchasing a portable A/C unit but the window unit in the bedroom wasn™™t enough to cool the rest of the apartment. Did a lot of research and decided on the Frigidaire Gallery unit. It™™s lovely to look at, has great and usable features, works well with the app, blows cold and keeps the living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway comfy and fresh -the ionizer is a nice plus. And, it is much quieter than I expected -certainly quieter than the bedroom window unit. Of course there™™s the exhaust hose to deal with but that is the reality of this kind of A/C and all the hardware you need is included. In short, lI love it.

Like most units, the sound level (decibels) isn't the problem, it's the jarring transition as it cuts on/off during the night.These portable AC units would really benefit from a night time mode which offers a more gradual increase in speed. Maybe the 2022 models do better.Item for improvement - Unit has 2 air "filters" - One oddly requires a screw driver to remove and neither really filter much below dog hair.Adding an optional HEPA filter would benefit us but also be an indefinite source of revenue for Frigidaire.Both filters should be accessible without tools.

Living in the Pacific Northwest, I got this for my home which had no air conditioner. After all the crazy heat waves we™™ve had, I was looking for something that could keep me cool while I work from home. This definitely fits the bill. It™™s maybe about 3 feet high and a pretty slender fit, fitting perfectly in a narrow space I have in my bedroom. The setup was easy and I was able to connect it to my Google home without hassle. It™™s perfectly white, matching all the furniture I have, definitely not an eyesore like some air conditioners I looked at when I was shopping around. I have a 5 gallon bucket it drains into (you™™ll have to provide your own, the air conditioner doesn™™t come with one), and I empty it usually once a day I keep the air conditioner running the whole day. With the Frigidaire app, I can turn off the quick glance light, which helps keep the room dark as I keep it on while I™™m sleeping. The reason I didn™™t give it a 5 is I wish I had the ability to turn off all the status lights on the top - they™™re especially bright during the night, but luckily they™™re on top of the air conditioner and I™™m able to lay a sock over the flat surface to block the lights from bothering me while I sleep. I™™ve had it for over a year now and it works really well. I™™d recommend it to anyone wanting to have the ability to connect it to their smart home, and get an air conditioner that doesn™™t look awful - it™™s nice to look at.

Upstairs office above garage, has always been a struggle to cool. Super simple, took this out of the box, vented out the window, and plugged it in. The instructions warn that you should put it on its own circuit and that seems to be true, mine has tripped the breaker twice in the past couple of weeks but mostly does fine.

The fact the the window kit has to be screwed into the window frame makes it so that the air conditioner is not portable. Once installed, the air conditioner has to stay where it is which means it's not portable. If this is what they consider portable, they might as well call the window units portable as well. Once it gets cold outside again and I have to unscrew everything for this unit, I wonder if I will even be able to reuse the window kit portion of this unit when it gets hot outside again. Considering the cost of this unit, I should be able to reuse all the the pieces when I need them. Also, since the window kit is screwed into the window frame, I can't ever close my window while it is installed - If I leave my apartment for the weekend, I have to trust that the hose piece (that goes from the unit to the window kit), stays in place. I don't trust that piece at all and I currently have the hose piece held in place with duct tape so it doesn't fall out. This air conditioner was not at all what I was expecting. In addition, when I set the unit to 72 degrees, the app for this unit usually says my room is anywhere from 75 to 79 degrees and it rarely is at the desired temperature. My room is cooler than before I had the unit but I definitely would not recommend this to anyone.

This portable AC has a lot going for it. It is by far the quietest portable AC I have ever used. Also the Wi-Fi app control is a great feature. However it was very difficult to set up this feature. Give yourself extra time and watch a couple tutorials. Don™™t give up! The machine cools well, although others are better. Unfortunately this not an energy star rated unit, it is an electricity hog. However it works and is suer quiet. 4/5

The SF Bay Area has a few heat waves during the summer. We rarely have humidity, so that's a non-issue. I bought this portable AC unit for my (upstairs) master bedroom to use during scorching heat waves. I have cathedral ceilings upstairs with no insulation between my bedroom ceiling and the roof...this makes for a very hot bedroom when we're having a heat wave. This unit has a feature that allows me to turn it on when I'm heading home from work which takes about an hour. Once home, and after changing out of my work clothes, I tend to stay downstairs until bedtime. By then, the room is much cooler and more comfortable. Noise level: The day I hooked it up was well over 100F, so I kept it on when I went to bed because the room was still quite warm. It's too loud for me even on the lowest setting, so by turning it on when I'm still at work to start the cooling down process makes the room bearable. Luckily the outside temps tend to cool down enough so that I can open my windows and turn on the oscillating fans. So far, it's been a good purchase.

First Portable AC - Works Great

Our Frigidaire 13k BTU Portable Air Conditioner is doing a wonderful job keeping our home cool this summer. We purchased the unit as we have an older home without central air conditioning, and while PNW summers are not intense the house does get hot - we were a bit nervous to buy a portable unit, but this one works great!The AC unit can cool a room down (400-500 SQ ft) to 60 degrees and it is rather quiet too. We have set up a few fans to push the cooler air around the home and that has helped keep a majority of the house (1500 SQ ft) feeling cooler during the day. The unit can be seamlessly controlled from your smart phone or programmed to follow a pattern too. Installation was pretty easy and the instructions and materials for that came with the device. So far we haven't had to do any maintenance to the device, but it came with attachments if you wanted to use the AC unit as a dehumidifier. However, we have no need for that feature yet. My wife and I are very happy with how the unit works, is designed and appreciate how cold it can make our room and our home.
