I bought this a year ago. Getting very tired of picking up ice off our kitchen floor. 9 of 10 times you try to get a glass of ice, it clogs. I get to pull chunks out of door, push threw dispenser then pick up off the floor. One shelf in the refrigerator side has dropped out due to the broken plastic button holding it in. It works just fine other than that.

We've had this fridge for about 3 years and regretted it immediately. It is exceptionally loud. The tiny bin in the bottom of the fridge side door is useless. But mostly, the ice maker is terrible. It gets blocked up and spews ice everywhere when it unclogs. The problem is the actual ice cubes are larger than the dispenser if they come down sideways! I can't justify replacing it when it still works. I've never wished for an appliance to break before, but I wouldn't be sad if this one did.

Bought this fridge in 11/2018 after waiting 14 years to own a new one. should've kept what I had! Came home on Wednesday to a huge puddle near the freezer on my brand new kitchen floor. First thought was that I must've left the door open slightly, but it beeps when it's a jar so that couldn't be it. Clean up the water, throw out affected frozen foods (close to $100) and shut the door. 4 hours later the freezer is not getting any colder and now the fridge is starting to lose its coolness. Customer service is a joke. Call 3 times get 3 different answers. Service cannot be provided under the warranty for another 3 days - that's almost 5 days without a working freezer or fridge. All of the food must be thrown out at this point. There is no reimbursement for this burden which is a disgrace! How do I make dinner for my children and provide lunch for school without a refrigerator?

Called frigidaire certified repair shop .. they said that there is no kit that can fix this issue. Everything else works. Looks like we have throw this one away. I have experience with two other refrigerators of other brands that lasted over 10 years .. no issues.

Biggest waste of hard earned money !!! Bought the matching gallery stove & dishwasher that work find However this fridge & frigidares' customer service SUCKS!!! I used the Refrigerator 5 weeks & unplugged it for the winter @ my cabin in South Dakota. I returned in late spring & it worked fine for about 8 weeks then it couldn't keep temp below 42F then 48F. Called fridgidaire and found the warranty had expired. Had a repair person find the leak caused by vibration of capillary tube @ point where it goes thru back galvanized sheet metal. POOR Quality Control @ Mexican Factory, Called Fridgidaire customer service = Lack of Service & NO Compassion !!!!!! IF I see folks looking @ a frigidaire product I introduce myself as a VERY DISPLEASED Frigidaire customer & warn them of Frigidaire RIP OFFS !!

Problems with quality, like the color

The repair man and I are on a first name basis. We are on our 3rd fan and water hose. The screen is losing pixels so I can't tell the temperature of the fridge. The light in the freezer broke also. We have had the fridge 2 years and 3 months. The ice maker is, by far, the worst part. The cubes are too big for the hole so it gets clogged every single day. I am hoping that there have been some updates in the last 2 years for all of these issues. The touchable stainless is very easy to clean and I love the color.

Can't change water filter

Generally product works fine, but it is impossible to replace the water filter without calling an appliance repair service, so we pay $50 for the filter and $70 to have it replaced. Contacted Frigidaire by Chat and they were of no help. Instructions to install filter - push in until it locks; instructions to release filter - push in until it releases. But it has never released. May just be an issue with our unit, or could be a design issue with the release mechanism.

Don't waste your money. If I could have given a zero rating I would have. The ice maker works sporadically, the ice dispenser on the door either shoots out too much ice or the ice gets stuck because the ice sticks together directly from the ice maker. The door shelves are cheaply made and are easily broken, replacement shelves are $35 - $60 depending on which you need.

This has been the worst purchase ever. The ice/water/switchboard has broken several times and the one we bought (about 4 years ago) is rusting out in the back due to a DESIGN FLAW where the freon is located too close to the back. This cannot even be fixed. We have already put well over $600 into this fridge to repair the ice maker (although it still would not come out the door bc the switchboard was going to be another several $100) in the past and it was going to be another $500 to repair the ice and water AGAIN this time. DO NOT waste your money! Or buy a REALLY good warranty if you do! We will never by another fridge by them!

We bought our house in March of 2017 and the brand new fridge came with the house. About 6 months later the temp reading on the fridge side started reading odd numbers like -43, which obviously wasn't correct. Then about 3 months after that the fridge wouldn't stay cool anymore. Clearly something was broken and needed to be fixed/replaced. We called frigidaire for help. We told them that our fridge was a year old and if they had any type of warranty with new fridges. She told us, "they have a lot of electronic parts and don't run forever. Because they run constantly they wear down over time." Wear down over time!? It's been 12 months. They told us that we needed to just replace parts until we found the issue. They told us that to fix the fridge temp we needed to replace the freezer side thermostat. So we did. That changed nothing. We called a local repair man out and he said "it could be the damper or the motherboard, both which cost 300 to 600 to replace and that's still not a for sure fix." Now we are almost to the cost of a new fridge... then one week after that the water dispenser stopped! This fridge is less than 2 years old and is falling apart! Even the repair man said that in all of his experience this is the worst model of fridge on the market. Because frigidaire left us out to dry it's either spend 1 grand on replacement parts and work to "try" to fix it (how long until the next part breaks?) Or spend a little more money and get something that works from a different company. The customer service line was super unhelpful and a little on the ride side as well. Especially when you question the fact that there is 0 warranty on a product that is known to break constantly. The cubed ice dispenser is also very touchy. It jams up with ice every other time, sometimes doesn't spit any out or sometimes just rockets out 6 pieces straight past your cup and onto your floor. Overall we have been very dissatisfied with this refrigerator and frigidaire as a whole. In less than 18 months these problems occured:Temp reading way offFridge stopped getting coldDamper brokeStopped dispensing water(Replacing the freezer thermostat like the help line suggested fixed none of those issues....)

We bought this refrigerator/freezer almost 4 years ago. We™™ve had to replace the evaporator motor 4 times. The last time it happened, we lost all of our food as it happened while on vacation. Also, the seal on the freezer is weak. The ice randomly gets clogged and shoots out. We had an extended warranty through HH Gregg and came to find out there was nothing that could be done once they closed. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. We are currently looking for another amudgeless option and would never buy Frigidaire again.

We purchased this model in 2015 after having a great experience with all of our previous Frigidaire appliances. This fridge is SO disappointing :-(. Here's the list so far... An LED light in the temp display burned out within the first 6 months. As many others have stated, the cube setting for ice is rarely used because you end up with an avalanche of ice all over the floor. The fridge kicks on and you can hear a loud whine at times... Seems to be worsening with time. The lack of space in the split design is our biggest disappointment. Always having to play Jenga to get items in and out of the fridge... Having a freezer on bottom is definitely the most efficient use of space.Last but not least is having to replace a 2L door bin for around $80 because the mount snapped off a while back. Seems highly over priced for a door bin! But that one door bin is essential because of the very limited space inside the fridge. I would not recommend this product to anyone for the above reasons. I'd like to say we will purchase Frigidaire again in the future... But after all the hassle and disappointment in this refrigerator, that might not be the case. Not impressed overall.

We were hard-pressed to find a refrigerator that would fit in our small existing cabinet space. We were thrilled to find this one would fit even if it was smaller than we initially wanted. We have had nothing but trouble with this appliance. We have given up on the repetitive service calls for the SY EF code fail along with all the spoiled food, time from work to wait on service people, additional shopping to replace staples only to have it happen again. I think they have replaced everything the could, some multiple times trying to get to the bottom of this. Time for a new refrigerator. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I bought this fridge in late 2015. Shortly after purchasing, the pieces that attach to the inside of the freezer for the baskets broke. It is loud and makes random noises. The drawers are super squeaky. The ice maker rarely works correctly. Either ice shoots out or nothing happens. Sometimes a big chunk will come down and get stuck. Sometimes I ask for cubed and I get crushed. Sometimes I have to open the door to get it to work. Sometimes I step in a random puddle of water because the ice maker spit it out. We have had to change the water filter several times...The freezer door will pop open with the fridge is opened. The seal on the freezer really stinks. It™™s just all around been a pain in the butt for us

I have owned this model for about a year and a half. Within the first four months the drawers and shelves were breaking. When I checked with the company where I made my purchase along with an additional service plan, I was told the plan did not cover the shelves and drawers. I was told to contact Frigidaire. When I spoke to a Frigidaire rep I was told the drawers are aesthetic and not covered under the one year warranty. After insisting a $1,800 item should last longer than 4 months and much arguing, I was told Frigidaire would send replacements this one time and it was said as if I was a charity case getting something out of the norm. I have yet to use the new drawers. I continue to use the broken ones and will until they can't be used because I don't expect the new ones to have a longer shelf life than 4 months and replacements will cost over $200. Additionally, the ice maker is loud. The ice dispenser is almost exclusively used on the crush mode because crushing the ice slows down the dispensing of ice. When used on cube mode, an avalanche of ice falls as soon as you press the button. I hate the way the doors open. Even when opened fully, the drawers barely clear the seal on the open door. I wanted a counter depth fridge so the fridge would be flush with my counters. The way the doors open, I am forced to pull the fridge out slightly so that the doors are not stopped from opening by the cabinets on one side and the wall on the other side. The doors should open fully without hitting adjoining cabinets. I now need to upgrade my wall oven and microwave but do not feel as though I can trust the quality of this brand. I have a Frigidaire freezer that is wonderful but the quality of the 7 year old freezer is far superior to the quality of this fridge. I worry this will be the case with additional Frigidaire purchases.

It's not 2 yrs old yet and lights on the door are burning out and a definite problem with the seal on the freezer door - getting all kinds of frost in the freezer and the ice maker is possessed. (Ask for ice and get crushed ice)

Interior LED lighting in multiple locations is great and makes it very easy to find what you are looking for. Stepping of the lower refrigerator doors also a nice "helps you find stuff" innovation. Digital readouts on the freezer door for inside temperatures and monitors for the air and water filters are very nice to have. It is not real convenient to remove the ice cube storage container and it is hard to get just a few cubes from the dispenser. It tends to spit out more than you might want for a glass of some beverage. Also, the cubes and crushed ice control can stick, but is not hard to fix. The smudge resistant exterior performs very well.

Freezer door seal not tight

The sealer in the freezer around the inside of the door is terrible. There is a large gap that prevents an air tight seal. We have ice build up around everything. I've looked online, and it'll be at least $100 fix for something that should really never need replacement. I would not recommend this fridge for this reason. Oh, and the unit is extremely loud. You can hear it make random sounds a few rooms away.

Bought this Frigidaire refrigerator one month ago and I am very pleased with it. I had wanted a french door refrigerator but I was unwilling to pay $1K more for the same size and features. Plenty of room in this refrigerator and it looks sleek and modern. Also quiet and lets you know when to change air and water filters.

We just received our new frig. Doors gap at top and narrow at bottom. Fresh food door rubs, so you can barely open it. This is our second Frigidaire, and the quality we have come to expect isn't there!

Terrible Fridge!

This fridge came with the home we purchased recently. It is only 3 years old and the fridge will not stay above 30 degrees F; the ice machine projectiles lots of ice all at once; and the shelves in the door are shallow (not a huge deal). When I called Frigidaire for help with getting the fridge to go over 30 degrees F, I was told there was nothing they could do and I should start calling around to other appliance services; unfortunately, other services feel that the fridge is "too complicated" to fix. Not sure what we will do, but we are very disappointed.

Please read the entire story. Purchased this frig in August 2016, so there is some history here. When first installed, the installers could not level it. It also emitted a very high pitched sound; I could not personally hear it but my wife and son said it was very annoying.The installers said call customer service and ask for a replacement to which customer service agreed. In the mean time we used the frig and became increasingly annoyed with the ice maker. Every time it dispensed ice it spewed ice all over the floor. Ok, if you are anything like me I would say "be more careful". HA! We had to dispense ice cubes and crushed ice into a large glass measuring cup, then transfer into a normal glass; the opening of a normal glass was not large enough to catch all the ice. So November 2016 comes around and the replacement arrives. The installers could actually level the frig this time, and this time there was not high pitched sound. "WOW", I said . . . even though the ice dispenser still spewed ice everywhere (obviously a design flaw). Then comes February 2017. The ice maker stopped dispensing ice cubes; still dispensed crushed ice but not ice cube. After calling customer service for a week, I finally spoke to a customer service rep who instructed me to remove the ice tray, punch some buttons on thet panel, and stick the handle of a wooden spoon into the back of the ice maker and wiggle it up and down. OK, think there is a design flaw? Should they package a wooden spoon with each new frig. The work around actually worked; the ice maker started dispensing ice cubes again . . . for a while. In late July 2017 the ice maker just stopped making ice altogether. It took two weeks for the manufacturer to arrange a service call to repair and/or replace the defective ice maker. In the mean time I go to the local store, buy bags of ice and dump the ice into the ice maker tray which, incidentally, still dispenses cubes and crushed ice all over the floor. The service organization still has not shown up the fix the ice maker and it is now August 10th. Bottom Line. The frig in general an acceptable unit EXCEPTING the ice maker which is ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. Wish I read all the other reviews about how awful the ice maker was before buying this model.

The fridge didn't work from day one. It couldn't be repaired, and I was told I'd get a new unit when they are in stock. No one is able to tell me when that might be, and I'm still without a working fridge weeks later.

We inherited this fridge when we bought our house. However it is only 2.5 years old and it is TERRIBLE!!!. The ice machine never works properly. It either dumps all the ice at once or doesn't make ice at all - no in between. The screw in the ice bucket winds and winds but nothing comes out until all at once the whole bin empties before stop the action. Or it will completely freeze and have to be defrosted.The chill drawer freezes the items in it. But if you adjust the temp up in the fridge side the rest of the food is not chilled.Customer service has been terrible since we "did not actually purchase the product".

The Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator is a no-lemon warranty replacement for a Frigidaire Professional Series unit that we had under a Sears Master Protection Plan Agreement. Our Frigidaire Professional Series developed a electrical issues that cause the interior lights to flicker. The Sear Service Tech (A&E) was able to correct the issue after 7 attempts. First attempt for no-lemon warranty replacement was denied, but the second was finally approved. The no-lemon warranty settlement covered all but about $200 toward the replacement refrigerator, which is okay considering that the unit was 9 years old under a service agreement that was extended multiple times. The new Gallery series refrigerator does not include all the extra features of the now discontinued Professional series. It is a nice unit, with a improved designed water/ice dispenser in the freezer door. The internal lights are now LED type which takes come getting use to due to the blue effect they create. It is a nice looking unit, but we have already had to have the Service Tech come out to adjust the doors. They did not line up properly, they were off about 1/4". The delivery folks from Sears tried, but failed to resolve the alignment issue. The A&E service tech (Jeff) did a good job in making it as good as it could be. By maxing out the door adjusters he was able to get the door aligned within about 1/16"....which I can live with. We are hopeful that this new unit will perform well for many years to come.

Bought this refrigerator a couple of months ago. A week after we had it ,the temperatures did not hold, refrigerator did not cool properly. The service technician came the same day we reported the problem and fixed it. It's been working so far. Hope there will be no other issues.

We've had this product for about two years and the ice maker has never worked well. Ice continually freezes together and blocks the dispenser outlet and causes an overflow all over the floor. Asked at Lowes if there had been a recall or service bulletin -- they said no, unfortunately live with it.

We have had similar issues with ours. Specifically the sy ef error that pops up. Troubling to deal with being that the fridge is less than a year old... It is the control board that keeps the fan from distributing the cold for the rest of the refrigerator.
