This Frigidaire air conditioner has operated flawlessly since installation. I only gave it four stars, because Frigidaire did not disclose on its website that this air conditioning unit was made in China. For $800, I should have received an A/C unit made in the United States.

After I select remote sensor on the remote, the light labeled remote sensor on the unit turns on green, but after a few minutes the remote sensor green light extinguishes. Is my unit malfunctioning?

Powerful with good features

For the price it's a good powerful handsome unit. The cooling power & the energy efficiency are great. The singnal from the remote is a drawback, it's non-responsive even from 10 ft. away, I have to be like Spock on Star Trek , searching for the exact position to aim him the tri-coder.

Haven't had much chance to use it since the weather cooled off, but it works beautifully. I particularly like the Eco feature which allows me to set the temperature and the unit automatically turns itself off when that temp is reached - beats my old one that had to be turned on & off manually.

Works well, but noiser than I expected

I bought this unit to replace a 30-year-old AC in my bedroom. It cools the room nicely and pretty quickly. The remote control is nice, although the LCD display is a little hard to read. The LED display on the unit is great. I installed the unit myself, which was not too bad. However, my building is old and uses wider sleeves, so the included trim kit doesn't really fit.I have another ancient AC in my living room which is almost silent when it's on, so I was surprised that this one was a bit louder than that. It didn't keep me awake, but it was noticeable. But the main thing is that it cooled my bedroom well during the last couple of heatwaves.

I bought this unit a month ago, and it has worked well these hot summer days. Be aware, though, that the heigth and the depth are greater than specified by the manufacturer (H: 14 3/4', D: 20 3/4'). I had difficulties to fit it into the existing sleeve in my apartment and to close the door of the built-in cover.

It makes to much noisy. I brought this issue with the installer but their response is that noisy is at normallevel. I have older units but make less noisy. Not sure if survey from PC Richard,Plainview. NY was correct and they installed a bigger unit that was needed. Big disappointment when you pay more then $1000,00 and do not get what you want.

Cools quickly and quietly

We bought this unit to replace one by another manufacturer, which had developed a cracked fan. The serviceman and his boss both recommended the Frigidaire brand. We've had it about a month during a very muggy NY summer, and have found it very efficient at cooling the room quickly and quietly. We also appreciate the Eco option and the filter clean alerts.

Great replacement for summer heat!

My old AC only worked at 60 degrees. This was a more than necessary purchase especially since the old AC fell apart when it was removed from the window sleeve. The unit features are great in that the economic setting keeps my room cool but saves on my energy consumption. I have the largest bedroom in the condo and the unit cools my room quickly.

Bought the unit a few weeks ago to replace an old unit that came with our apartment. The new one has some great features, the remote is handy, and most important it keeps us cool. One downside is that it's pretty noisy, takes some getting used to.

Great Window Air Conditioner

I'm a very particular person and not for the foolishness.The sun sits in my bedroom, 85° outside is 105° inside, so far I have no complaints. I did have it installed via HEAP took them an hour but very efficient. It's also quiet, works fine but its large. I have no plans of removing the AC after the summer since it's that heavy.
