I've cleaned the filter and let it dry. The "check filter" light won't turn off. I've reset it and turned it off. Any suggestions??

I brought this for my son's bedroom window cause it was the right size for his small window. It gets black mold in the styrofoam box inside unit then blows out the toxic smells. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Air conditioner works okay for a small room. Does not work well in a bedroom where you plan on sleeping. This thing is loud*. And when water flows to the back of the unit the fan splashes the water into the evaporator. I called Frigidaire and they said it was designed to to this. They should have deigned with more sound deadening insulation because the water splashing around make so much noise. The noise it makes in infuriating. Also, the remote is a joke. Brand new, with brand new batteries, 5 feet away from the unit it does not work. You have to press all the power button on the remote to make the ac respond. Once it does respond, it works. *I've used several window AC's in bedroom in the past. This one was the loudest unit by far.

The airconditioner never worked. Apparently it had a broken condenser. It was returned to the dealer for a full refund.Oh well

This is the perfect ac for a small room. It does make noise but it cools you off wonderfully....also it alerts you to change the filter which is a great feature and you can time it to shut off at a certain time :)

I originally thought this unit was good enough for the small room that we have it in. It worked ok when we used it the first time around (last summer) yet it was never as cool as the three other units we have in the house. This year we can hear the compressor turn on but the air is just not cool enough. I'm a working mom so I have to find time to call the service line for support. Really hoping to get some answers since we have this one in my baby's room. The past two night the air condition remote and baby monitor read a temp of 82 degrees.

Good AC for direct air...it cools an empty room beautifully.....if in the room during the day...you cant feel it unless you're sitting close or directly in front of it.

Bought this in the dog days of summer, to put into my very small apartment bedroom. It was pretty easy to install with two people, and hasn™™t given me any grief since. The remote is handy for when I™™m across the room, and the machine isn™™t too loud.

I bought this for my bedroom approximately a month ago. It runs quietly and cools the room nicely. The only problem is when I have it on economy cool, it will shut off (which is good because it saves electricity!),but it doesn't turn back on until it gets quite warm again. I have woken in the middle of the night drenched in sweat.I had to decrease the temperature to get it back on again. It seems it should turn itself back on when the room gets warm. It's hard to get back to sleep after having to change the sheets, turn on the lights and adjust the temperature. A remote that has some sort of background light would be very helpful.

I bought this Window A/C for a smaller Bedroom, Approx 11 ft X 11 ft, that gets used as a guest bedroom. This Unit is Just slightly louder than last years Model of 5000 BTU's ( Measured by phone App Decibel, at 55-57 dB at about 7 ft away from the Unit - on the Low Fan setting and the compressor running )( Last years 5000 BTU Model measured 50-53 dB at the same setting and distance ). On the Highest Fan Speed ( there are 3 - Hi, Med, Lo ) the Measured dB was 57-59. There are No weird noises (splashing, squeaking, gurgling ) from this unit, mostly a steady hum. On the Econ Mode the Fan does run for about a minute every 15 minutes or so on the high Fan setting ( No Choice ) to Sample the Air Temp in the Room to determine if the Unit should run to cool the Room down based on the Temp you choose to have the room remain. The Temp setting that you Choose on Econ Setting seems to be pretty near what the actual room temp will be maintained at, within a degree or so ( Better than Last Years Model which varies by Several Degrees ). This Unit, like previous year models, the Temp setting is easily readable day or night. * Do Not Loose the little Manual for the Remote Control, the Remote for this Unit is not otherwise easy to go through the various features of A/C unit, with the exceptions of the Temp Up / Down and the Cool or Econ Settings and Fan Speed.

This AC cools a room quickly, and doesn't seem too loud. But I hate that it's default setting is economy mode. I never use that, and yet every time I turn the unit off and back on again later, it goes to economy mode. I then have to press two different buttons three times to get it back to where I like it. Terrible design. It should power on to where you left it and where I want it, not where it thinks you should be.

I bought this air conditioner because of its size. It's very small but efficient at 40 lb. It cools hour 225 square foot bedroom nicely. It is also aided by a ceiling fan. the only problems that we have at the fact that like others have said, it is very loud. that in itself doesn't bother us because we both wear earplugs when we sleep. the bigger problem, is the fact that it's Cycles every 10 minutes for approximately one minute to test the room to see if the air conditioner has to turn on. That does become very annoying. Other than those two things, I do recommend it.

I bought this unit about a month ago during the heat wave and I purchased the last one! It was very easy to install and I did not have use any support on the outside of the window. I also love the remote, because sometimes the room gets too cool when I'm sleeping and I don't have to get out of bed to adjust the temperature.

It was hot, I'm mean HOT and I wanted cool. There were no ACs anywhere except this one. i wanted a bigger one but I wanted cool more, so I purchased it and two others. I put them in the windows and fired them up and I got cool. They are great little ACs and work very well. In smaller rooms, they make it chilly, in larger rooms, not so but they are only 5000 BTU ACs and they do exactly what they should.

I bought it a month ago, cools room good and quick. quiet motor. The only thing. when I wake up in morn, it is warm in the room. It stops taking humidity out at some point. The humidity is 75% in the morning. I had the same one in 2009. It did the same thing. Now it doesn't at all.

I purchased a 5000 BTU unit in 6/2014 and it failed when installed into the window in 6/2016. I purchased the same basic unit in 2016 and it failed when it was put back in the window in 6/2018. In both cases the electronic windows didn't light up so I blame the control for the problems. Each unit gave me 2 years of good service and then died. I've moved on to other units with manual controls. Cost of repair was equal to cost of replacement.

We bought two 5,000 BTU units for the upstairs. Overall, they're not bad, but even running both they struggle to really cool the space down. If you close one of the bedroom doors, it does cool that room down fairly well. As for being quiet, they're a bit louder than we like, but they're not too loud. Size wise, they're great. Overall, a descent value for money.
